Propaganda DJ's
DJ Dan
DJ Dan is the founder of Propaganda and the UK's biggest alternative DJ, playing to around 10,000people every week. He has DJed in New York, Ibiza, at the Reading Festival, at the Snowbombing Festival in Austria and across the UK. What's more he is Oasis' DJ of choice playing for the band on their 2009 National Stadium Tour, 2008 Electric Proms Afttershow Party, 2007 Brit Awards Party and 2006 'Stop The Clocks' best-of album launch party as well as at several after show parties for the band on their 2005 tour.

He has DJed to Arctic Monkeys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Muse, The Killers, Aerosmith, Snow Patrol, Amy Winehouse, Stereophonics, Jarvis Cocker, Lily Allen, Kasabian, Courtney Love, The Fratellis and of course Oasis!

Anyone who has seen DJ Dan will know he's far more an your standard boring DJ hiding behind the DJ booth and his notorious 'War On Boring DJs' has gained him considerable media attention. Speaking to Venue magazine he explained, "When I DJ, I like to show people that I'm enjoying myself and having a good time. I come to the front of the stage, jump around and really try and entertain, which I think really helps them get into the music too. When you see a band live it's always better when they move around on stage and are energetic and that's something I've tried to apply to my DJing. I'm very passionate about the music I play and I like to really show it!"

Sam Flanagan
Sam Flanagan blends and mixes Indie music with elements of Hip-Hop, Rock, Drum N Bass, Dance and everything in-between. After perfecting his skills for home made mix-tapes and remixes and unleashing these on the net, The Guardian described him as "Lancashires answer to 2 Many DJs", DMC scratch champion DJ Yoda titled him "The hot UK mixtape name" in Hip Hop connection magazine and BBC's Colin Murray dubbed him a 'Genius' after featuring a number of his mixes and mash-ups on his Radio 1 show.

Although eclectic in his approach to music Sam's sets are often completely mixed and beat-matched from start to finish, hopping effortlessly from genre to genre, whilst always being grounded by Indie music. When Sam's not behind the decks at Propaganda he's often found teaching Music Production at a college in the North.

Sam has played alongside Ellie Goulding, The Vaccines, Radio 1's Nick Grimshaw and Huw Stephens, The Futureheads, Mike Fielding, James Buckley, Faith SFX, Toddla T, Bez and Mani to name a few and has also played at Plan B's aftershow party in Liverpool. You can catch him playing every week for Propaganda in either Manchester, Sheffield, Leeds, Newcastle, Dublin, Glasgow or Edinburgh.

If you would like to book Sam to play email bookings@thepropaganda.co.uk
Geck
Geck is Propaganda's best female DJ, but I wouldn't read too much into that. However, she does have much better taste in music than you. She could probably name at least three bands that you've never heard of.

In the unlikely event that you would like to book Geck to play email bookings@thepropaganda.co.uk
The Postman
The Postman is Propaganda's most exciting and entertaining resident DJ and always performs a memorable set. His eclectic mix of indie, alternative, dubstep and drum & bass is experienced by thousands of people a week at clubs, venues and festivals across the globe.

The Postman has shared stages with the likes of Calvin Harris, Zane Lowe and Example and is the warm-up DJ for Rizzle Kicks across the UK, Ireland, Ibiza and Barcelona at events for Propaganda and Ibiza Rocks. He's DJed at world renowned festivals including Glastonbury, Oxegen and Reading festival to name a few!

Rarely is The Postman stuck with his head behind the decks - his sets see him shoving himself into the faces of the crowd, displaying record-breakingly bad dancing, the occasional stage dive, and literally bringing his audience to its knees. The Postman will deliver you one fine package... first class.

If you would like to book The Postman to play email bookings@thepropaganda.co.uk
Sabotage's DJ Jinx
DJ Jinx is one of the uk's most ambitious and dedicated alternative djs bringing crowd pleasing tunes to any dance floor he can get hold of! Playing a well timed mix of punk, ska, rock and metal, Jinx grabs a crowd by the neck and keeps them dancing till the fat lady sings! After sharing stages with the likes of soil, american head charge, raging speed horn & entombed, Jinx knows how to keep a night rocking!

"Its all about the crowd, so many djs want to be all dark and unapproachable and they forget that people want to have a good time. Show your face and be proud of what you do! Get in with the crowd and enjoy the music as much as they do!"
If you would like to book DJ Jinx to play email bookings@thepropaganda.co.uk
Jon Weldon
Jon Weldon has been DJing since he started university at Exeter in 2005. He's played at university events, charity nights, balls and for the university radio station, xpression fm. Jon DJed a number of times in Blush (Cheltenham) over the summer before dragging Dan, Dave and Geck down to Exeter to open up Propaganda's newest night in Arena!

Jon has a passion for all kinds of music, he loves, of course, indie music as well as many other genres that he has played at other events, such as drum & bass, rock/punk and breaks. "Its great when you go from an indie anthem into a massive drum & bass cut, the feeling you get from seeing the frenzy it creates with the crowd is amazing!" Jon is also dedicated to finding the freshest new music, not only for his radio show that he has presented for over 2 years, but also for his DJ sets; "I'm addicted to trying to find the best new tracks to play... Its a wicked feeling when you play a track out and the crowd love it, and a couple of months later it is a huge hit".

If you would like to book Jon to play email bookings@thepropaganda.co.uk
Stu Baker
Stu has been part of the Propaganda team for several years, and has loved every minute of it! He has played alongside Zane Lowe, Ian Watkins, We Are Scientists and Kasabian to name but a few, eaten out with Ian Brown, played at The Prodigy's Birmingham after party and DJed most of the major alternative clubs around Birmingham. He also organised a charity event at the Q Club which raised 25,000 on the night!
"I love the buzz of knowing that you can really influence a crowd's night and the interaction that comes with playing at the venues we do. I've never been afraid to experiment and push the boundaries of alternative music if I feel that a track is right for the atmosphere, and bring a spark of something different to the norm, something that I think sets Propaganda apart from other nights."
Stu lists his influences as Eddie Temple Morris, Zane Lowe and the late John Peel - "These are guys who use music to express their personalities, aren't afraid to pioneer new ideas and bands, and play great music, whatever the genre".

If you would like to book Stu Baker to play email bookings@thepropaganda.co.uk
Fabs
Propaganda discovered Fabs playing in Leeds' underground clubs - clubs so underground that he was often playing to an audience made up almost entirely of moles. Since then, he has played everywhere that might require a DJ, from Glastonbury Festival to Cow Vintage Shop.

He has shared a stage with a wide range of DJs (including, but not limited to, Fatboy Slim, Kaiser Cheifs and Metronomy) and The Vaccines once had to borrow his headphones. When he played with Huw Stephens, he got so excited that he jumped off a monitor and ripped his trousers.

This year, he was nominated for best DJ at the prestigious Leeds Bar & Club Awards, but lost out to some techno DJ with silly hair.

If you would like to book Fabs to play email bookings@thepropaganda.co.uk
Tom Rackham
DJ Tom Rackham Boasting one of the largest noggins in the Propaganda family, Birmingham resident and indie-obsessive DJ Tom Rackham puts his over sized bonce to good use keeping it chocked full of useless information about brand new bands, artists and remixes he knows the weekend masses will love.

Spinning a crowd pleasing mix of classic and current indie and alternative, Tom has been lucky enough to wow dancefloors at world renowned venues and events such as Ibiza Rocks and Glastonbury appearing alongside acts such as The Vaccines, The Streets and The Cribs.

"I think in the UK we're lucky enough to boast one of the most exciting and innovative alternative music scenes in the world. There are so many excellent bands producing music in Britain it's an OCD-esq mission of mine to bring great new and old music to the Propaganda masses every weekend. Come and say hello. Perhaps you might like to buy a drink as well."

When not behind the decks at Propaganda around the country, Tom can often be found attempting to dance like that bloke from Friendly Fires, stuffing his face in Nando's or moaning about the Travelodge on Twitter.

If you would like to book Tom to play email bookings@thepropaganda.co.uk

Andy Tokyo
Well, despite his name he is neither from Tokyo.. nor is he a racist. He is relatively new to the DJ game but mashes up tunes unlike any other Indie DJ in the UK. He began to DJ in early 2008.. approximately 14 months after he accidently invented sound whilst on a fishing holiday in Canada.

Always seen wearing glasses that are obviously unsuitable for the situation, and jewellery that obviously belongs to a girl.. he dances between genres, using a combination of midi controllers, apple hardware, powerful software and Bolshevik bravado.

Just like all other people who wear glasses that they don't need.. he listens to much cooler music than you, such as The Stokes, Left of the pier, The Kaiser Chefs, Attic Monkeys, Blurred, Interpol and Maximum Park.
When not on tour with The Beatles he is available to be booked for Club nights, Weddings, Birthday Parties and Bar Mitzvahs.

If you would like to book Andy Burgess play email bookings@thepropaganda.co.uk

Emily May
Having been in numerous appallingly unsuccessful bands, Emily May decided that playing other peoples music would be infinitely wiser than creating her own.
She is the new little sprout of Propaganda, and has recently DJ’d alongside the likes of Jimmy Hendrix, John Lennon, Freddie Mercury, and Jim Morrisson. Emily plays music from the roots of Indie (before you were born) to the shoots of Indie (future classics that you don’t even know yet!). Her favorites include everything from The Doors to The Drums.

When she’s not occupying the decks, she’ll be occupying your thoughts.

If you would like to book Emily May to play, and can supply a box she can stand on to reach the decks, please email bookings@thepropaganda.co.uk
Rob Troubadour
Rob Troubadour is an energetic pseudonym from just off of the M27. Since early 2009 he has been playing music to the masses citing influences from Kele from Bloc Party’s body movements to the stamping feet of Franz Ferdinand, the facial arrogance of Alex Turner and an irregular twitch of Simon Neil. DJ sets from Rob include high paced, unprovoked and sometimes silly amounts of pogo jumping, air guitaring and singing at the top of his voice in a ‘wind him up and watch him go’ manner.

After storming SWN Festival in Cardiff Huw Stephens said…“He’s got a vast and varied selection of tunes, exquisite taste and a really good energy”…

When not spinning on the 1’s and 2’s you’ll find Rob obsessing over the amount of curls in his hair, helping old women across roads, falling asleep to quiz shows and eating his body mass is olives.

If you would like to book Rob to play email bookings@thepropaganda.co.uk
Sabotage's Old Man Rich
By day Old Man Rich drives Propaganda's legendary VW Advan however by night he transforms in to a rock and metal animal.

His ethos in life is Eat Meat, Drink Beer, Haul Ass and Drive Carfully! He was bought up in the deep under belly of the countryside with nothing but Heavy Metal and Beer as company. Fortunately he was drawn to the bright lights of the city like a moth to a flame and moved to the city of Bristol to ROCK us all.
